Head Department of Regulatory Policy and Entrepreneurship will contribute to the development of the Franchise Law


Head Department of Regulatory Policy and Entrepreneurship will assist in creation working group on drafting the Franchise Law. This was stated by Orest Sohar, Deputy Chairman of the Head Department, at the First International Franchisising Form “FHI Ukraine 2010”, held in Kiev.

 

"The main problem today is precisely the absence of legislation on franchising, which would regulate relations between partners, - said A. Sohar. - Therefore, this issue requires immediate resolution. "

 

According to Alexander Nogachevsky, Vice-President of the Federation of franchise development, hospitality and infrastructure of Ukraine, his organization is able to pass to the working group all their previous developments. “Another our task, but the bill draft, is to create a platform for communication among representatives of small and medium-sized businesses, and government officials. In particular, we initiate the creation of “Franchising Open University ", which should become the engine of development for business segment in Ukraine , - emphasized A. Nogachevsky.

 

The desire to help in attracting U.S. franchisors to the market of Ukraine and franchising development in Ukraine expressed attaché Cheryl Duklou on behalf of the U.S. Embassy.

 

First International Franchising Forum “FHI Ukraine 2010” was held in Kiev, 2 and 3 December at the Radisson Blu Hotel. The event was organized by Federation of franchising development, hospitality and infrastructure in Ukraine. Participation at the Forum was taken by representatives from 8 countries.

 

Earlier, Nogachevsky stated that the introduction of franchising mechanism will help to attract to the economy of Ukraine up to $ 5 billion in the next five years.
