International Franchising Forum FHI 2011 is an experience exchange field for franchise operators
Devoted to franchise issues International Franchising Forum FHI 2011, that took place on December 1-2 in Kyiv, has become a unique field for experience exchange between participants - current operators of international and national franchise markets.
The Forum was organized by UPO “Franchising Development Federation” under the support of General Partner TRIARH International Corporation and other profit and non-profit organization.
For participation at the Forum registrated number of professional from various areas of activity: finance, law, taxation, marketing, public service were invited. All speakers, who have participated at the Forum FHI 2011, obtain a truly unique hands-on experience if the franchise field and academic knowledge in their specialized fields that allow audience to learn vast array of information useful to both franchisees and franchisors.
During the Forum were raised important issues devoted to commercial concession agreements, intellectual property rights protection, conditions on the franchise market of Ukraine, state support of small and medium businesses in Ukraine and many other issues.
The Forum was attended by representatives of international franchising networks:
Bill Harris (Franchise Business Manager of PAPA JOHN'S International, USA) - shared the successful experience of network business development.
Patrick Lahoud (International franchise Development Director at COLOMBIANO COFFEE HOUSE, Lebanon) - told the key aspects of choosing a franchise for the guests.
Natalia Chinyonova (consultant for LADY & GENTLEMAN CITY franchise network development, Russia) described the franchise market in Russia, and in terms of LADY & GENTLEMAN CITY franchise presentation, speaker told features of franchising in fashion retail, some rules of choosing a franchise, how to build a relationships between franchisee and franchisor and specific of the development strategy.
For experience exchange to the Forum have come such franchisors companies and supplier as: IMPERIAL CHINA – network of special stores. MAMA ROMA - network of Italian restaurants. ELEVATION BURGER - network of fast food restaurants. NESTLE - coffee and coffee machines supplier for franchise networks, Turtess - International Tour Operator, and others.
Additionally should be noted speeches of Heads of UPO “Franchising Development Federation” Committees.
Dmitriy Kharchenko - spoke about the financial aspects of franchise purchasing, and about pitfalls applied to it. In this regard, he gave some guidance for evaluating franchises and negotiating with the franchisor. He has drawn the attention of prospective franchise to the importance of future franchisees financial planning and budgeting for effective company operating and importance of franchisor support.
Natalya Pisarenko – has told effective methods of franchise promotion and sale, spoke about modern marketing tools that are currently effective on the market and about prospects of tomorrow.
Alexander Stepanov - exquisitely told about nowadays tax system in Ukraine and opportunities, provided by law for tax planning today, aimed on franchisees and franchisors (master franchisee). In particular, he considered the possibility of offshore using, as well as applicability of the proposed options for taxation.
During two days the Forum was attended by over 150 people who obtained comprehensive answers on questions related to concluding of commercial concession agreements, protection of intellectual property rights, state of the Ukrainian franchise market, franchise loans, terms of franchise purchasing and the support provided by in person communication with market operators, experts and practitioners of franchise market, owners and management of franchisors companies.
The Forum FHI 2012 will be held on December 6-7, 2012 in Kiev. Already, organizers of the Forum are accepting applications for participation at the Forum FHI 2012 and offers from franchise operators on issues of interest. Follow the updates of the Forum program on our site!
